We are seeking an experienced Director of Finance to join the Bitcoin.com team. Ideally, you will have a strong background in finance and a deep understanding of financial markets, as well as be extremely passionate about the cryptocurrency industry.

You will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our organization, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Your experience identifying weaknesses in controls/processes, and fixing these without needing guidance will come in handy here.

You will also play a key role in developing and implementing our financial strategy which has a heavy emphasis on non-custodial solutions. You are assertive and able to make decisions based on your previous experiences and expertise. You have to be a strong communicator, able to explain complex financial concepts to a variety of audiences, and able to work collaboratively with a driven team.

Role & responsibilities

• Lead all financial planning activities, working closely with the cross-functional teams to produce accurate reports and forecasting
• Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the company, including managing the budget, cash flow, and financial reporting
• Provide financial reports and analyses to the executive team
• Manage a team of finance professionals, including financial analysts, and accountants
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures in relation to market growth and industry-wide trends

Core competencies

• Proven experience working in a similar capacity, overseeing accounting and FP&A functions
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics. And preferably holding professional qualifications such as ACCA, CA, or CFA.
• Strong leadership, critical thinking, and stakeholder management skills are essential for driving change within the organization.
• Strong PC modelling skills including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
• Understanding of finance issues in an operational environment of rapid growth and unique treasury organization consisting majority of cryptocurrency
• Ability to translate large amounts of data into useful information and actionable priorities
• Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, start-up environment
